ABOUT IDEALMILITARYHIRE
IdealMilitaryHire.com got its start by working with transitioning sea service veterans in 2006 through its partnership with the Navy League of the United States (www.navyleague.info). Through our grassroots work with veterans over the years, we learned about some of the major challenges that vets and their families face when transitioning to civilian life. Several common challenges kept coming up:
- Translating military experience to civilian terminology
- Having a central resource of veteran benefits and transition information that can be easily accessed
- The ability to create a professional resume that civilian employers could understand (no military jargon)
- Easy access to jobs and opportunities that fit skills and experience
As a technology company with more than 20 years experience in the Human Resources and Staffing industry, we were up to the challenge to find a solution and continue to evolve our products to meet the needs of veterans today. Some of our products and services include an Interactive Online TAP Manual, a Military Skills Translator, a Resume Builder and a Resource Center. All of these services are free to veterans and focus specifically on solving the challenges that veterans face in seeking employment and training for civilian life.
In the spring of 2008 IdealMilitaryHire was introduced to expand our services to all branches of the military and the families who support them. Our goal is to assist every veteran in finding their ideal career opportunity.
